Can someone explain why dataroom software in Canada feels like luxury shopping for the most boring task imaginable—file storage? Every provider promises “military-grade security” and “streamlined workflows,” but somehow I end up paying thousands just to drag and drop documents into what looks like a glorified 2005-era web portal.

The best part? Each vendor swears they’re the most “user-friendly,” yet it still takes three tutorials, two support calls, and an existential crisis just to set permissions for one user.

At this point, I’m convinced the real business model isn’t secure sharing—it’s watching us all struggle and laughing from their high-priced server rooms.

So yeah… anyone actually found a platform that feels worth the hype, or are we just stuck pretending this is cutting-edge tech?
